In 2009, Micah and his wife, Keeley, started on this journey of "The BBA" with the goal of helping young athletes learn proper mechanics, maximizing their potential in baseball and preventing injury, while building character.
Our mission is to put the athletes' personal character and baseball development first and take each young man to their highest potential. Our coaches strive to provide a positive, fun, and safe environment for young men to grow their skills and contribute to their baseball teams.
Coach Micah was blessed to be in professional baseball for 16 years and pitched in the Big Leagues for parts of 6 years with the Atlanta Braves, the Chicago Cubs, the Oakland Athletics, the Washington Nationals and the Colorado Rockies. He was drafted and signed with the Atlanta Braves in 1993 out of high school.

Coach Dusty was a catcher for Texas State , Tyler Junior College, and Alvin Junior College. He was part of the 2014 Junoir College World Series Championship team. . Dusty played for the Bulls and was a leader in our team program and at Canyon High School.
Coach Mags was a catcher and first baseman for 7 years with the Los Angelos Dodgers organization from 1988 - 1994. He then went on to coach for the Dodgers organization for 5 years and scouted for them as well. Mags is a member of the Santa Rosa JC and the Sonoma Valley HS Hall of Fames in California where he grew up and played college baseball.

Coach Joe is currently a coach with the Tampa Bay Rays organization and joins The BBA every off-season. The A & M alumni was a 2nd round pick in 1982 with the Kansas City Royals and went on to play professinally as a catcher for 11 years with the Royals, Dodgers, Blue Jayes and Braves. After his playing days, he went on to coach with the Braves and has been with the Rays coaching staff since 2004.
Coach Pasquale was drafted in 2016 by the Pittsburgh Pirates and played in A Ball this past season with a 1.30 ERA. He was a pitcher for Texas State and Blinn and a shortstop at Alvin College. Pasquale is not only pursuing a career in baseball but also working on fishing his degree in engineering.
Jared Van de Hoeff
Coach Jared played for the Bulls thru High school and was a pitching student of Coach Micahs. Jared went on to pitch in college at Huston-Tillotson University in Austin and in Florida at Northwood University. He has come home and is excited to be back in the swing of things coaching at the BBA.
Coach Donald Harris was a former 1st round pick for the Texas Rangers in 1989 and 12th round draft pick for the Dallas Cowboys in 1992. Donald, originally from Waco Texas, played professionally 12 seasons in the minor leagues, Mexico, Venezuela, and Puerto Rico, three seasons with the Rangers Major League club from 1991-1993 with Nolan Ryan, Pudge Rodriguez, and Juan Gonzales. The former Texas Tech Red Raider loves to compete and teach a winning work ethic that is positive and family oriented.
Coach Kevin played college ball at Western Michigan and North Central College and earned his degree in Exercise Science and earned accolades as an All Conference and All Region 1st baseman. Kevin is now passionate about teaching young athletes the most effective way to train to perform to their max ability.

Coach Nate came up through the Bulls program and has been a pitching student of Micah's since he was 13 years old. He is a starter for the TLU Bulldogs and has garnered numerous awards including:

Coach Jacob has been a pitching student of Coach Micah's since he was 11 years old. Jacob was a leader in our Bulls program and had a successful High School baseball career at NBHS and has gone on to join the St Mary's Baseball Team where he is also pursuing a career in physical therapy.
Coach Christian was a member of the Bulls program for many years and has coached with us for two years. Christian is going to school and has been coaching at St. Peter & Paul Catholic School in New Braunfels. Christian loves baseball and enjoys sharing his knowledge of the game with our athletes.
Former Coaches at the BBA!
Coach Tyler was drafted in 2013 by the Houston Atros and is currently tearing it up in the minor leagues. He was named to the 2014 Mid West League All Stars. After injuries, Micah became Tyler's pitching coach in 2009 and Tyler went on to pitch successfully for Hardin-Simmons University and be drafted by the Astros.

Lindsey Matt Kalenkosky
Coach Lindsey is our softball expert! She is a Tx State grad and currently coaches and teaches at Churchhill Middle School in New Braunfels Tx.
Coach Lars was a 1st round pick out of LSU in 1997 after being named the MVP for the College World Series. The San Antonio HS standout's career as a shortstop and infielder spanned from 1997-2007 with the Rays, Rangers, Nationals and in the Big Leagues from 2001 - 2004 with the Cincinatti Reds. Lars coached at Kent State last year. Congrats to Lars for being added as a Scout for the Nationals!

Coach Blake played with the Bulls and was a pitching student of Micah's for many years. Blake had a great career at The University of Texas at Arlington for 4 years and was a leader on the team. Blakes outgoing personality and infectious smile are very much missed at the BBA.
Coach Ory was an All-American Junior year at Texas State and hit .321 that year and set the school record for home runs with 21.
He was Drafted by the Nationals in the 13th round in 2011, but decided to go back to school and was redrafted as a Senior by the Atlanta Braves in the 30th round in 2012.
Ory is from San Antonio, TX and attended John Marshall High School.
